Surviving means the out-living of death, but OVERCOMING human trafficking means not only beating death, but fighting hard to live & the choices it takes daily.

THE UNCHAINED SCHOLARSHIP

The Overcomer Scholarship was started in 2015 to restore the lives of those who have been victimized by human trafficking. At UNCHAINED, we believe that death does not have the end of the story, and that there is so much hope and healing available to those who are overcoming the crime of human sex trafficking and the trauma (sexual, physical, mental, emotional) incurred during the periods of grooming, recruitment, enslavement, and rescue.

UNCHAINED believes in restoring Overcomer’s lives through providing funds to receive their higher education. Thus ending the cycle of poverty, creating economic sustainability (outside of low-paying, minimum wage jobs) for themselves and their families. In the end, their lives, their families lives, community, and society, have the ripple effect to create health at large.

The original funds were formed from donors like you and a partnership with a women’s clothing retailer that produced a retail opportunity that went directly to the fund. The bracelet sold $32,000 across the US to begin the fund.
